Versus

Forked vs ReciMe

Both save the TikTok. Only one keeps what you do to it next.

Last verified August 2026 from each company’s own listings, not from another app’s comparison blog.

ReciMe is good at the thing everyone came for: pull a recipe out of a video, a screenshot, or a handwritten card, and get a clean card back.

Where ReciMe wins

  • Very strong import range, including handwriting and cookbook scanning.
  • Android as well as iPhone.
  • Nutrition on imported recipes.

Where Forked wins

  • Import is the start, not the product. Forked imports from the same places, plus ChatGPT share links, and then the recipe can fork, keep versions, and show where it came from.
  • A household, not a shared password. ReciMe households share one login. In Forked each person has their own account. Change someone else’s recipe and you get a fork; theirs stays put.
  • Ask it to change. Halve it or swap the buttermilk and Forked updates the ingredients and steps, with the old version still there.
  • New recipes from your own library. ReciMe is built to capture what you found. Forked can also write a recipe from what you already cook, and save it like anything else.
  • Bring Paprika or Recipe Keeper in one pass. ReciMe doesn’t do that migration.

The switch

There isn’t a ReciMe importer. Share the links you already save, or start with the recipes you actually cook. Keep ReciMe installed; nothing is deleted.

Be honest about

iPhone only, no nutrition data, and no library export yet. ReciMe’s handwriting and cookbook scanning are ahead of ours. Their free meter is five imports every seven days. Ours is fifteen a month. Both count every source, including websites. If you live on Android, that’s the whole decision.
