Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Forked iOS app, related services, and useforked.com (the “Service”). In these Terms, “Forked,” “we,” and “us” refer to the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.
- One person should not create accounts to evade bans, quotas, or billing.
The Service
Forked is a Recipe Manager for saving, forking, planning, and cooking from recipes. Features may change. We may add, change, or remove functionality, including free and paid capabilities, with notice when practical.
The Service requires an internet connection for sync, imports, AI features, and most library actions.
Your content
You retain ownership of recipes, photos, and other content you create or import (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, display, and transmit Your Content only as needed to operate the Service you use (including sync, household sharing, public visibility you enable, forks by others when visibility allows, and AI features you invoke).
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and share Your Content, and that Your Content does not violate law or someone else’s rights.
Household and public visibility are under your control. Content you mark public may be viewed and forked by others. Forks create separate copies owned by the forking user; deleting your original does not automatically delete forks made by others.
AI features
Some features use third-party AI models to import, rewrite, suggest, or generate recipes and images. Outputs can be wrong, incomplete, unsafe for your dietary needs, or unsuitable for cooking. You are responsible for reviewing results before you cook or share them. AI features may be rate-limited or reserved for paid plans.
Subscriptions and purchases
Paid plans (such as Forked Plus), if offered, are billed through Apple’s App Store. Pricing, trials, renewals, and cancellation follow Apple’s terms and the purchase screen shown at checkout. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.
Unused free-tier allowances do not roll over unless we say otherwise in product copy. We may change plan features or allowances; material changes will be described in the app or on our pricing page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe others’ rights
- Upload malware, scrape the Service in an abusive way, or attack our systems
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, paywalls, or security controls
- Harass others or post unlawful, exploitative, or highly offensive content
- Misrepresent the source of recipes in a deceptive way
- Use the Service to build a competing dataset by bulk automated extraction
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Our intellectual property
The Forked name, mark, app design, and software (excluding Your Content) are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you a license to copy our brand or reverse engineer the app except where law allows.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Cooking involves risk. We do not warrant that recipes, substitutions, timers, generated photos, or AI output are accurate, allergen-safe, or fit for a particular purpose. Always use your own judgment for food safety and dietary needs.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Forked will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
Termination
You may stop using Forked and delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations) will survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local consumer law says otherwise. If a dispute must be heard in court, you and we agree to the state and federal courts located in the United States, subject to any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer.
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service. If you downloaded Forked from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the extent required by Apple.
